The second part of the film presenting the Aston Martin Rapide is now released. Action of the second also takes place in Lisbon, but this time at night. Dirty people, dirty work - so it can be summarized. Aston Martin ventured up to the fight scene. Too bad that it looks so fake and unnatural.
I wonder what will happen, when the last part comes - Rapide will be distributed for free? Or Cygnet at least? I dont think that this movie impresses anyone. (more…)

Pictures of the concealed for the years concept Rover from 1997 appeared over the Internet. The car was meant to be somewhat smaller than 75, but larger than the models marked by symbols 25 and 45. Rover has called his project 55, but mainly for financial reasons car never went into production, although the owner, BMW, associated Rover with great hopes.
Unfortunately, I do not know anything about the units which were to drive the car. But I am convinced that if the car was introduced to production, sales results would certainly be better than Jaguar model 75, whose quality leaves much to be desired, and whose owners could not afford a Jaguar, and wanted to have something better than Ford Mondeo. Surprising information about the latest Chevrolet Corvette (C7) appeared recently on the Internet. As reported by Saab management, Swedish engineers together with their colleagues from GM, have been working on a special dual-clutch, which could carry up to 590 Nm of maximum torque. Unfortunately, work stopped in 2008 due to global crisis.
More interestingly, the latest Corvette’a will be powered by economic, turbocharged V6 engine. Production of this monster will start in April 2012. Cars will be made of light alloy, which reduces fuel consumption and improves performance. (more…)

No, the Swedish manufacturer has no plans to introduce the 9-5 Coupe model, but such a move would rather not surprise anyone. This idea comes from Saab enthusiasts, and more specifically from “Saabsunited” readers.
Generally speaking, whole looks at least good. Personally, I would make a few improvements, such as: longer doors, more aluminum accents and, the most important, larger alloy rims. (more…)

As the U.S. Motor Trend informs, the new sports Toyobaru, as a joint sports car project developed by Toyota and Subaru, under a rather mechanical name of FT-86 will be constructed on a modified Subaru Legacy platform, using the suspension of the Impreza model.
New Subaru model will use 2-liter boxer engine type, with 200 or 260-horsepower, depending on customer choice. Interestingly, the car will be driven only on the rear wheels through six- speed manual gearbox. It is also possible that the Japanese will make automated one available. (more…)

A number of legendary brands in their history encountered very serious problems, some of them consequently fall, while others bounce off the bottom and soar to the heights. Saab manufacturer is certainly not in the first group we include, but not yet classifies the latter. Bosses recipe of success is to return to the roots, high-quality, new range of models and finally perform in the WRC.
You do not have to clean up your monitor - Swedes actually set themselves the task of returning to world-class racing, and it is already set for the 2012 with the model of 9-2 and 9-1. For those less informed, I was wrong in writing about its return, because Saab has already appeared in the WRC, in 1976. (more…)

You know what I dislike the most? Suckers who destroy cars. While driving, sometimes there are “incidents” that require a baseball bat.
Imagine the following situation: You go quietly by car, and all of a sudden you see a group of five idiots who are on the street begin to dig and destroy your car. Probably most people would drive away, not so much out of fear for their own teeth, but the legal consequences in case of confrontation. (more…)

German Volkswagen’s just completed the buyback of the famous Italian design studio Italdesign Giugiaro (IDG). Volkswagen Group with its Italian utility, the Lamborghini brand, has acquired 90.1% share of the Giugiaro family design studio, the rest of the revenue remains in the family of the founders.
IDG has had a few very successful projects for Volkswagen, such as the VW Porsche Tapiro Concept and Audi A5. VW Group takes over, aiming for a global unification, which does not bode well. Not everyone wants his car looked like Audi or Volkswagen, and certainly not fans of Alfa Romeo… (more…)
